Cork has since history been applauded for its versatile and long-lasting finishing properties. It is suitable for your floor as well as wall. Even so, let us not divert our focus from wall tiles. This material is most suitable in the bathrooms and kitchens because of its ability resist pressure, water and moisture.

Like any other task, you must prepare your walls and tiles. Ensure your wall is strong enough for the procedure. It will help you to identify a straight row for the start of the work. After installing the tiles, you can eliminate the batten by unscrewing it.

When laying down the tiles, first mix the mortar as directed by your tiles’ manufacturer until the paste resembles peanut butter. Let the mixture rest for approximately 15 minutes then apply it on the surface to tile. Finally, you can fix your wall tiles. Tricks to make your work easier

- When you want to install cork flooring tiles on a large surface, use your tiling board as your backer. Install it to get the impression of a dry wall because in reality, it is found from water-resistant equipment.

Use tape measure to locate the horizontal and vertical centers of the region you wish to tile. Remember, the middle point is a place that you can always refer to when you start to tile. Then, use a chalk line to mark the relevant locations on the wall.

A diamond wet saw is the ideal instrument to cut your wall tiles into desirable sizes.

Mortar rising between the tiles is an indication to use a slightly smaller trowel.

Always check at the levels of the tiles to ensure they are uniform using a laser level.
